Money Sense and The Opening Bell
On Monday, April 26th, the NYSE Money Sense team rang The Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange. The bell ringing kicked off Financial Literacy Week at the exchange, a new initiative to help improve financial literacy through education and expert advice. David Cautin, NYSE Chief Digital Officer, joined members of the NYSE Money Sense Committee on financial education: Tahira Hira, personal finance professor, Iowa State; Alvin Hall, financial educator and author; and Mickie Siebert, CEO of Muriel Siebert & Co., and the first woman member of the exchange.
Also in attendance were NYSE Money Sense partners: Tom Newman, president of Interactive One; Greg Martin, business development director for Microsoft; as well as executives from digital strategy shop Rocket Fuel. AOL’s Amey Stone covered the event and the NYSE Money Sense Web site launch. Check out her story and video interview with David Cautin.
